Our Redeemer's Christian's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

The Our Redeemer's Christian Knights were the 53-47 winner over the Westhope/Newburg Sioux when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Our Redeemer's Christian was dealt a 76-49 loss at the hands of Westhope/Newburg on Friday.

Walker Braaten continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westhope/Newburg, scoring 30 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Braaten's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Tolstad, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds.

Our Redeemer's Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1. As for Westhope/Newburg, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Our Redeemer's Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Surrey at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. As for Westhope/Newburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Velva at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Velva will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Westhope/Newburg is ranked 13th).
