Soccer Recap: Hoffman Estates Comes Up Short

Hoffman Estates lost to Rolling Meadows on April 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Hoffman Estates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Rolling Meadows are ranked 126th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hoffman Estates and nudges their season record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-2 Palatine (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 78.4% over those games). As for Rolling Meadows, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Hoffman Estates has already played their next match (against Conant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rolling Meadows, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Palatine on the 30th.
