Chewelah put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Northwest Christian School Crusaders by a score of 10-7. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Ryen McMillan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Miles Krausz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last 11 contests. Dekota Acosta also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Chewelah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matches.

Chewelah's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Northwest Christian School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.

Chewelah will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Crusaders: the pair will be back at it again later today.
