Volleyball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While King was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Harmony School of Excellence's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

King's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Harmony School of Excellence, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. King will square off against rival Zapata at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harmony School of Excellence is set to challenge their familiar foe Tuloso-Midway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
