Baseball Recap: Royal Takes a Loss

Royal lost against Aldine back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Royal Falcons fell just short of the Aldine Mustangs by a score of 4-2.

Emilo Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

Royal now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Aldine, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Bend Willowridge at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. Royal is facing Fort Bend Willowridge at the right time seeing as Fort Bend Willowridge is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Aldine, they will welcome Dekaney at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aldine's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Dekaney's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
