Football Recap: South San Antonio Falls Despite Big Games from Ethan Segura and Anthony Mata

It was a proper cat-fight when South San Antonio duked it out with Martin on Friday. The Bobcats fell 21-14 to the Tigers. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, South San Antonio had strong showings from Anthony Mata, who threw for 171 yards and two TDs, and Ethan Segura, who picked up 95 receiving yards.

South San Antonio has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Martin, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
