Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Selma). They walked away with a 68-57 win over the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 870th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 367th).

Central Valley Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Bergman and Caden Lloyd. Bergman posted 22 points and six rebounds, while Lloyd went 7 of 10 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Lloyd has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last 18 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaaron Dodson, who put up five points.

Selma's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Central Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Selma has already played their next match, a 65-46 victory against Immanuel on the 15th. As for Central Valley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-41 win against Exeter on the 15th.
