Basketball Game Preview: North Hills Indians vs. Mars Fightin' Planets

North Hills and Mars are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The North Hills Indians will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Mars Fightin' Planets at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in North Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Monday, North Hills came up short against Avonworth and fell 84-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Indians still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Mars had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-49 victory over the Talbots.

North Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mars, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

North Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Mars when the teams last played back in January, winning 64-57. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Mars' Ryan Ceh, who posted 24 points and three blocks. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for North Hills to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
