Volleyball Recap: Coral Reef Comes Up Short

Coral Reef lost against Homestead back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Barracudas fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 3-2. While the Barracudas didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Broncos 25-21 in the first set.

Coral Reef took Homestead into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 26-28, 25-18, 15-11.

Coral Reef has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Homestead, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8.

Coral Reef wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Sunset on the 15th. As for Homestead, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Palmetto on the 15th.
