Soccer Recap: Gibbon Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Platte, Gibbon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They beat the Holdrege Dusters by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Gibbon were the better team in the second half.

Giovanni Ramirez and Giovanny Hernandez scored both of Gibbon's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Gibbon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Holdrege, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Gibbon has already played their next match, a 2-2 win against Gering on the 10th. As for Holdrege, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Seward on the 11th.
