Basketball Game Preview: Estes Park Bobcats vs. Front Range Christian Falcons

The Estes Park Bobcats will head out to challenge the Front Range Christian Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Estes Park ended up a good deal behind Bishop Machebeuf and lost 56-37.

Meanwhile, Front Range Christian played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Flatirons Academy, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Bison are ranked 134th).

Estes Park will have to contain Shayla Hajka as she made an impact in Front Range Christian's last game. She posted seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hajka a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Sara Porter was another key player, putting up nine points.

Estes Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Front Range Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Estes Park lost to Front Range Christian on the road by a decisive 43-27 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Estes Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
