Volleyball Game Preview: Northside Mustangs vs. Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack

The Northside Mustangs and the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Northside took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They skirted past Rickover Naval 2-1. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Seadragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Northside got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Saint Ignatius College Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Jones 2-1.

Saint Ignatius College Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-20.

Saint Ignatius College Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Northside, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
