Meeker skates past Soroco with ease

The Meeker Cowboys gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past Soroco 63-28 at home. This was payback for Meeker, who suffered a 48-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Meeker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ainsley Selle, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Rylee Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meeker's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Soroco, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Meeker will look to defend their home court on Friday against Altamont. As for Soroco, they will face off against Nucla at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
