Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Takes a Loss

Shenandoah's last matchup with River could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Zeps came up short against the Pilots, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Zeps in their meetings with the Pilots: they've now lost four in a row.

Shenandoah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakoda Rich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Rhys Stesen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for River, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will take on Shadyside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Zeps' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for River, they will face off against Bellaire at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
