Margaretta posted their closest win since September 7, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the New Riegel Blue Jackets 2-1. For the Polar Bears, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Blue Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Margaretta who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-19.

Margaretta found their leader in sophomore Tarah Hershey, who had six digs and two aces.

The win got Margaretta back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Margaretta will square off against Western Reserve at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Riegel, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Clyde on the 16th.
