Brunswick blew Perry out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Perry got their revenge. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Nolan Burke was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Brunswick saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Wojtala, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Brunswick will welcome Strongsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.7, the Mustangs 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Perry, they will square off against Lake Center Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
