It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Templeton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Paso Robles Bearcats 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bearcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

Nate Argain spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Templeton's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Leo Rivera, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Templeton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Paso Robles, they moved to 11-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
