Basketball Recap: White Station's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, White Station's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitehaven Tigers. The Spartans lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-28 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why White Station lost, don't look at Amare Boothe. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Boothe is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Kyndall Reynolds was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

White Station's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Whitehaven, their record is now 7-4.

White Station and East Poinsett County will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Whitehaven has already played their next contest (against Kingsbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
