Basketball Game Preview: Chatham Central Bears vs. North Moore Mustangs

Chatham Central is a perfect 10-0 against North Moore since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Chatham Central Bears will challenge the North Moore Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Chatham Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season.

On Wednesday, Chatham Central earned a 68-59 victory over Jordan-Matthews. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Jets: they've now won nine in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chatham Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reid Albright, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Albright's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Brennen Oldham was another key player, going 9-for-16 on his way to 22 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, North Moore played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 80-48 loss at the hands of Southeast Alamance. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now lost four in a row.

Chatham Central pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Everything came up roses for Chatham Central against North Moore in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 78-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chatham Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
