While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1459th, while the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees are ranked 88th).

Llano's defeat came about despite a quality game from Landon Magadance, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Florence came up short against C.H. Yoe two weeks ago, falling 64-43. The loss continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their meetings with the Yoemen: they've now lost five in a row.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Llano, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.

Llano strolled past Florence in their previous meeting back in January of 2025 by a score of 61-42. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
