Soccer Recap: Hidalgo's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Hidalgo brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Zapata Hawks on Tuesday as the Hidalgo Pirates made off with a 7-3 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hidalgo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Zapata, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

When Hidalgo and Zapata next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hidalgo will try to stop Vanguard Academy Rembrandt's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. Meanwhile, Zapata will challenge Valley View and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
