Basketball Recap: B O L D Piles Up the Points Against Yellow Medicine East

There's no place like home for B O L D, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Yellow Medicine East Sting 72-41. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead B O L D to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Gross, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 25 points along with five boards and three blocks. Gross is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last ten games he's played. Will Penkert was another key player, going 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

B O L D's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 32.2% in those games and 30% outside of them. As for Yellow Medicine East, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. B O L D will head out to take on Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cedar Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Yellow Medicine East has already played their next game (against Lac qui Parle Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
