Basketball Recap: Northpoint HomeSchool Panthers vs. Community Christian Eagles
Northpoint HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 64-18 loss at the hands of the Community Christian Eagles. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Back, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Abel Parsley, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points and five steals.
Northpoint HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Community Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northpoint HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Indiana Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on February 7, 2025. As for Community Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Columbus Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Community Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.
