Recap: Pasadena Eagles vs. Channelview Falcons
The Pasadena Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Channelview at home and fell 58-10. Pasadena has struggled against Channelview recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Channelview was led to victory by Traveon Jackson and Tyrone Scyrus. Jackson rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Scyrus rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Scyrus was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Josh Wiggins also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Pasadena's loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.9 points per game. As for Channelview, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pasadena will square off against Sam Rayburn at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Channelview, they will head out on the road to face off against Pasadena Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on November 4th. Pasadena Memorial is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
