With a playoff win on the line, Rockwood rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Fannett Metal 4-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Rockets' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Rockwood's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Show, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Carson Brown was another, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Rockwood is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fannett Metal, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.

Rockwood has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 loss against Southern Fulton on the 28th. Fannett Metal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
