Basketball Game Preview: Port Isabel Tarpons vs. La Feria Lions

Port Isabel is 2-8 against La Feria since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Port Isabel Tarpons will be playing at home against the La Feria Lions at 11:30 a.m. Port Isabel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Port Isabel is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were beaten by Los Fresnos 70-35 on December 13th. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tarpons have suffered since November 12th.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when La Feria took on Edinburg on Monday. La Feria fell just short of Edinburg by a score of 38-36. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

La Feria's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Port Isabel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Port Isabel was taken down by La Feria 60-29 in their previous meeting back in February. Can Port Isabel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
