Hoffman Estates beats Fremd for their second straight win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The Hoffman Estates Hawks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 33-27 W over Fremd. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but Hoffman Estates was the better team in the second half.
Hoffman Estates had a senior duo take command as Matt Lawson rushed for 80 yards and four touchdowns and Stephon Sellers gained 47 total yards and six touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Hoffman Estates and bumps their season record up to 6-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-7 Schaumburg and 3-6 Fremd. As for Fremd, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Hoffman Estates will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln-Way West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Lincoln-Way West is ranked 50th, while Hoffman Estates is ranked 69th). Fremd does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
