Basketball Recap: Desert Edge Takes a Loss

Desert Edge saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They were beaten by the San Tan Charter Roadrunners 87-43. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Roadrunners are ranked 85th).

Desert Edge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for San Tan Charter, they moved to 5-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Edge will challenge Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for San Tan Charter, they will welcome Phoenix Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
