Softball Recap: Brunswick Comes Up Short

Brunswick lost against Mentor back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Delainey Andolek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Brunswick's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Mentor, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brunswick will face off against rival Medina at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mentor is set to challenge their familiar foe Shaker Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
