Basketball Game Preview: Kiona-Benton Bears vs. Royal Knights

Kiona-Benton hasn't had much luck against Royal recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Both will face off at 5:15 p.m. without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Kiona-Benton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

On Friday, Kiona-Benton ended up a good deal behind Connell and lost 72-56.

Meanwhile, Royal put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat College Place 68-26. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Kiona-Benton's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Royal, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Kiona-Benton came up short against Royal when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 60-51. Can Kiona-Benton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
