Volleyball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Carson Senators, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Senators from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Douglas was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-22.

Hayley Rocha paced Douglas' offense, picking up nine kills. Rocha got some help from Priya KC and her ten assists. KC was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Carson, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Douglas has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Damonte Ranch on the 2nd. As for Carson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lincoln on the 27th.
