After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Conestoga finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Perkiomen Valley Vikings by a score of 3-1. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Conestoga's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Perkiomen Valley, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Conestoga will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring-Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Pioneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Perkiomen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
