Basketball Recap: Estelline/Hendricks Comes Up Short

Estelline/Hendricks fought the good fight in their overtime match against Elkton/Lake Benton on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 81-74 to the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (71), Estelline/Hendricks still had to take the loss.

Estelline/Hendricks' defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Estelline/Hendricks will welcome DeSmet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Estelline/Hendricks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully DeSmet likes a good challenge. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Garretson at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
