Baseball Game Preview: Eagan Wildcats vs. Farmington Tigers

Eagan hasn't had much luck against Farmington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m.

On Monday, Eagan came up short against Shakopee and fell 17-12. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandon Lunneborg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Theo King was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Farmington and Prior Lake, and Farmington kept the tradition alive. The Tigers put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 9-3 win on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Farmington's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Eagan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
