Baseball Recap: Fresno Christian Victorious

While Fresno Christian's win against Caruthers wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Blue Raiders on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Blue Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Josh Kubota, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Fresno Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Tristian Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory got Fresno Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Caruthers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
