Football Game Preview: Empire Ravens vs. Pueblo Warriors + How To Watch

The Empire Ravens will venture away from home to challenge the Pueblo Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Empire is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Rincon/University 43-13 on Friday. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Jalen Camacho produced another solid performance rushing for 106 yards and four scores.

Empire's run defense was locked in: Rincon/University could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Alex Elias for the heroic effort on defense: he. Empire's ground attack was stronger, having averaged four.

Empire's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up ten sacks. Elias and Gabriel Abu-Ageel were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Boden Eustis is becoming a predictor of Empire's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Another thorn in Rincon/University's side was Pedro Felix, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Pueblo had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-13 W against the Mustangs. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Empire's record now sits at 3-6. As for Pueblo, their record is now 6-3.

Empire strolled past Pueblo when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 37-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
