Basketball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Stargate School Eagles

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals are taking a road trip to face off against the Stargate School Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arrupe Jesuit will be strutting in after a win while Stargate School will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Arrupe Jesuit turned things around against Lake County on Monday. They claimed a resounding 49-20 victory over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Stargate School came up short against Prospect Ridge Academy on Wednesday and fell 47-40. The Eagles have struggled against the Miners recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Stargate School saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sloan Kunz went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave Kunz a new career-high in shooting accuracy (56%). Ava Ridgell was another key player, going 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points.

Arrupe Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Stargate School, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
