Basketball Recap: Indian Lake Has No Trouble Against Point Pleasant

While Indian Lake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Point Pleasant Big Blacks 40-23 on Friday. The game marked the Lakers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Several Big Blacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Waminan, who posted eight points along with seven steals and six boards. Waminan has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Olivia Fields was another key player, putting up eight points.

Indian Lake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Point Pleasant, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Indian Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-33 victory against Upper Scioto Valley on the 30th. As for Point Pleasant, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-39 win against Wellston on the 28th.
