Recap: Reeltown Rebels vs. Horseshoe Bend Generals
The Reeltown Rebels lost against the Horseshoe Bend Generals back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Reeltown received a tough blow as they fell 50-34 to Horseshoe Bend. Reeltown has struggled against Horseshoe Bend recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
London O'Neal and Chizyiah Riley certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. O'Neal dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Riley scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Reeltown's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Horseshoe Bend, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reeltown will take on LaFayette at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horseshoe Bend, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Beulah at 2:00 p.m. Beulah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Horseshoe Bend is ranked 174th).
