Volleyball Recap: Verdigris Comes Up Short

After flying high against Skiatook on Tuesday, Verdigris came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell just short of the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

Verdigris' loss dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Chouteau-Mazie, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Verdigris didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Canute on the 9th. Chouteau-Mazie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
