Soccer Game Preview: St. Georges Tech vs. William Penn

The St. Georges Tech Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the William Penn Colonials at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Georges Tech has four straight victories, William Penn has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

St. Georges Tech's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Delmarva Christian with a sharp 3-0 win. St. Georges Tech might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for William Penn's offense. They lost 4-0 to Concord on Monday.

St. Georges Tech's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for William Penn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

St. Georges Tech took their victory against William Penn in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
