Baseball Recap: Pollok Central Takes a Loss

Pollok Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 4-1 to the Huntington Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss back in March.

Pollok Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17-1. As for Huntington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pollok Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Huntington will face off against rival Central Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Devils 1.5, the Blue Devils 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
