Basketball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. Erwin Warriors

The Pisgah Bears will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Erwin Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Pisgah didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Buncombe, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Black Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Erwin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 55-49 W over West Henderson. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Pisgah's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Erwin, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Pisgah was able to grind out a solid win over Erwin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 65-52. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
