Baseball Game Preview: Holmes Huskies vs. Brennan Bears

Holmes is 1-9 against Brennan since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Holmes will take on Brennan at 4:45 p.m. Holmes has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Holmes is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Harlan, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, Brennan made easy work of Marshall on Friday and carried off an 8-1 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Brennan pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Holmes skirted past Brennan 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Holmes repeat their success, or does Brennan has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
