Baseball Recap: Biglerville Takes a Loss

The Biglerville Canners came up short against the Pequea Valley Braves on Wednesday, falling 13-7.

Gavin Althoff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Biglerville: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Brayden Pearce also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Biglerville's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Pequea Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Biglerville will take on West Perry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pequea Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
