Elk Lake waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Everything went their way against the Montrose Meteors as they made off with an 18-3 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-1 victory back in April.

Elk Lake pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Elk Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Redeemer at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Montrose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
