Volleyball Recap: Cheney Tech Comes Up Short

Cheney Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 11th.

While Cheney Tech had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Cheney Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheney Tech will welcome Woodstock Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, they will face off against Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
