Soccer Game Preview: Caledonia-Mumford vs. Hornell

The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Hornell Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hornell will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Caledonia-Mumford extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Raiders never let Cuba-Rushford get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Caledonia-Mumford's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Cuba-Rushford are ranked 232nd).

Haverling typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Hornell proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Hornell in their matchups with Haverling: they've now won nine in a row.

Caledonia-Mumford's record now sits at 7-2. As for Hornell, their record is now 10-0-2.

Caledonia-Mumford came up short against Hornell when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
