Basketball Recap: Ridge Community Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Ridge Community fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Davenport on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Davenport Broncos by a score of 70-67. The Bolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Ridge Community lost, don't look at Tarique Kennedy. Despite the final result, he went 12 for 20 on his way to 29 points. The game was Kennedy's third in a row with at least ten points. Elijah Louis was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Ridge Community's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. As for Davenport, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Ridge Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-59 defeat against Riverview Sarasota on the 18th. Davenport has also already played their next matchup, a 68-54 loss against University Christian on the 18th.
