Softball Recap: North Springs Spartans vs. Druid Hills Red Devils
After only two runs in their last game, North Springs made sure to put some runs up on the board against Druid Hills on Wednesday. The North Springs Spartans blew past the Druid Hills Red Devils 13-1. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.
Jamie Masker made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The last time her OBP was this high was back in September of 2023. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, North Springs let Leila Madesko and Theo Ballowe loose on the outfield. Madesko scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Ballowe scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Holder, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
North Springs' victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Druid Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
